Earlier this year I decided to turn one of my hobbies into a business. For those of you who don’t know me or haven’t been following my blog, I have been shopping at thrift stores for a long time (you can read more about that here) and this year I decided to start selling the stuff I would find on Poshmark, Mercari, and Tradesy. I have since started to sell things that I would find when I would go shopping in general, and not just from thrift stores, but I can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed my little side hustle. Who wouldn’t love getting paid to shop?!
When I started reselling, I was so overwhelmed! I had no idea how to keep track of things I would find or how to price them on Poshmark. I kid you not, I used to write all the things I would find into a little notebook and looking back that is comical because I now have over 400 items listed to sell. After watching tons of YouTube videos about reselling (thanks Mogibeth, Becky Park on Poshmark, and so many others for sharing your reselling knowledge for free!) I developed my own way to inventory my items and created a reseller inventory tracker spreadsheet that helps me keep track of all of my inventory and has all of my sales.
It has honestly been a lifesaver for me and helped me tremendously with my reselling business and guess what, I want to give it to you FOR FREE! Now why would I give you something that took me months to perfect, for free with no strings attached? Well like the YouTubers I mentioned earlier, immersing myself in as much free reseller content as I could really helped me start and grow my reselling business and I want to do the same for others in the reselling community!
What’s On The Tracker?
My reseller inventory tracker spreadsheet has several columns for you to keep track of your inventory, selling price, and where your sourced it from PLUS there is another tab for you to keep track of your sales on each platform! Here is a rundown of the spreadsheet in a little more detail…
Location: Where the item is located (if you use the ziplock bag inventory method you would put that number here)
Date Purchased: When you sourced the item
Date Sold: When you sold the item
Store: Where you purchased the item
Brand: Name brand of the item
Description: Description of the item
Paid Price: How much you paid for the item
Retailer: Where you sold the item
Sell Price: Price item sold for, before platform fees
My Profit: How much you made after platform fees were deducted
Net Income: How much you made after you subtracted Cost of Goods from your profit
Notes: Any additional information about item
If you enjoyed this free reseller inventory tracking spreadsheet, you’ll also love my Thrifting Instagram and Reseller BOLOs Instagram! On my thrifting Instagram I share my hauls from thrifting trips, things that sold, and my sales each month and on my Reseller BOLO Instagram I share all kinds of Be On The Look Out brands (brands that you should keep an eye out for when you’re sourcing) and trends you should also keep an eye out for. I hope to share more reseller content on Blazers and Blue Jeans in the future, so if there is something you would like to see, drop it in the comments!!
If you want to use one of the tools that has been a GAME CHANGER for my Poshmark business, check out PosherVA. Instead of spending hours sharing my closet, I am able to spend more time doing the things I actually like, like sourcing and listing new items. Use the promo code: blazersandbluejeans when signing up for PosherVA to save 20% on your subscription! Trust me, once you use it for a month you will never go back!

I would love toh ave your free download. I am struggling with Excel. Just overkill for my needs. I have inventory of approximately 700 pieces, including shoes/boots. I want to sell it all out and may quit, but need to track well for now. I am interested in selling some or all of my inventory to the right person. But for now I need a good organized system. My husband died a few years ago and I quit my selling at that time. And now it seems hard to get organized.
Thank you,
Jan Marie

Hi Jan! You can download it by clicking the link. If you are feeling overwhelmed, I would take a look at your inventory and see what is worth selling online vs getting rid of. When I have stale items or just bad buys, I will take them to a consignment store or resale store to just recoup my losses and get rid of the items. Start with little by little, maybe 50 or a hundred items per day so it isn’t as overwhelming.

THANK YOU! Most of the time when someone posts a “free” download you have to go sign up, verifications, blah, blah, blah. So very refreshing to click one time and done! (I just found this page/post, but am about to sign up and study your reseller tips.)
