Happy February! I know I was MIA for the January wallpapers but I’m back here to share the February 2024 tech backgrounds (the end of December/beginning of January was a little crazy for me). I helped plan my best friend’s son’s first birthday and if you know me at all, I went a little over board. I’m going to do a full blog post on the golf-themed party and link everything I did for the party. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek of the desserts I made.
I also did a 15% TCA chemical peel on New Year’s Eve (what a way to celebrate). I went down a wormhole on Reddit and decided to order a TCA chemical peel from Makeup Artists Choice because it was soooo much cheaper than going to a spa and getting it done. Ahh yes, literally risking burning the skin on my face to save a couple bucks. I also use the Dennis Gross peel pads and tretinoin regularly so I felt like my skin was ready for a higher percentage chemical peel.
I did two layers and honestly wished I did another layer because my skin didn’t peel as much as I wanted. The downtime was also around 10 days, which was BRUTAL for this Florida girl. My skin texture looked more even and my freckles were a little lighter but to see the results I want, I’m going to have to do another peel. Here is a before and after. The one with my hair down is the before (roughly 3 weeks before I did the peel) and the one on the right is after (two days after my skin was done peeling). The photos are makeup-free and if you’re wondering how my eyelashes look so curled and full, it’s because I give myself eyelash lifts with this kit from Amazon. Yes, again, risking blindness to save a couple of bucks.
