Happy October! We are at my favorite time of the year and this year is extra special because I am spending most of it in New England so I get to experience a real Fall! The leaves have started to change up here in Maine and even though I’ll miss the fall foliage up here, I’ll get to see it when I’m in Rhode Island. I’ve spent the last six weeks in Portland, Maine and I am shocked I can still button my pants because all I do up here is eat. I’m working on sharing some of my favorite Portland eats so keep an eye out for that!
Since we are heading into the holiday season, now is the best time to sign up for a new credit card if you plan on doing any holiday shopping. They usually have sign up bonuses that are worth a couple hundred dollars if you spend a certain amount in three months. I have the Chase Reserve credit card and love it. I have access to lounges at tons of airports, get $300 in travel credits, get 1.5x more when redeem my points for travel and Global Entry/TSA PreCheck were included in the annual fee.
