We’re in the final stretch of 2024! Before I share the November 2024 tech backgrounds, here are some things to consider going into the holiday season and the best time to make purchases because everything is on sale!
As always if you’re planning on doing responsible holiday spending, now is the perfect time to open a new credit card so you can get a sign up bonus. I recently did this with a United credit card so I could get the 50,000 mileage sign-on bonus and use it towards my trip to South Africa for a free upgrade. I’m personally not loyal to any airlines (although Southwest is my favorite) so I usually use my Chase Sapphire Reserve card, which I love. I used to have the Sapphire Reserve, which I also loved but wanted the better benefits that come with the Sapphire Reserve card. If you sign up with my link and spend $4,000 in the first 3 months you’ll get 60,000 bonus points which is equal to $750 in travel redemption.
I would also recommend you sign up for Rakuten if you haven’t already. So far since I signed up for Rakuten a couple of years ago, I have earned more than $1,500 in cash back….on things I was planning on purchasing anyway. The holidays are when they have their best cash back rates at retailers you probably already shop at. I’m talking like 20% at Dermstore and 10% at Sephora so it’s basically an extra discount. If you use my Rakuten link and sign up, you’ll get $30 in cash back on your first purchase.
