Back in May I decided to do a 30 Day Blender Bomb challenge to see if I would really lose weight by incorporating them into my diet. In this blog post I am giving you an honest review on my Blender Bomb experience and sharing if I really think Blender Bombs are worth the money.
But First, What are Blender Bombs?
Blender Bombs are essentially smoothie boosters or enhancers that were designed to make your smoothie more of a meal replacement and keep you full longer. They’re full of superfood ingredients like almonds, flaxseeds, chia seeds, and aloe AND they come in a variety of different flavors. You can also put Blender Bombs in your smoothie, eat them alone as a snack, or even use them as a topping for yogurt or acai bowls. Since so many people drink smoothies it’s an easy way to not only lose weight but also maintain your weight while getting a good amount of nutrition.
Why I Gave Blender Bombs a Try
If I’m being totally honest I saw Naomi from Southern Charm raving about Blender Bombs on her Instagram and I had to investigate. She had lost weight and attributed a good amount of that to incorporating Blender Bombs into her diet. Hook, line, sinker, I knew I had to give them a try to see if they actually worked.
If you have followed me for a while you know that I like to try different diets and new healthy foods that will help you lose weight. I have literally tried so many cleanses and diets including the Sweetkick 30 Day Sugar Reset, Whole30, Bone Broth Diet, and Keto just to name a few. If you’re interested in my experience on those or learning more about them check out those blog posts!

The 30-day Blender Bomb Challenge
Oddly enough the month before I ordered my Blender Bombs, they were having a smoothie challenge where you had to drink I think 24 smoothies in a month. Even though I missed out on that challenge I decided to do my own to see if they would help me lose weight and keep me full. Originally I wanted to have a Blender Bomb smoothie everyday but of course life got in the way and there were some days I only had a Blender Bomb snack and not a smoothie. Nonetheless, I still ate one Blender Bomb a day for a month. I also felt like 30 days was enough time for me to see results and decide if they were worth it. I bought four boxes of Blender Bombs in a variety of flavors (I was most excited about the Goji, Coconut, Acai flavor because I LOVE acai bowls).

What Were the Results from my Challenge?
So in addition to having a Blender Bomb every day I did my best to follow the 80/20 rule (80% of what you eat is healthy/natural food and the other 20% is whatever you want) but of course life got in the way and it was more of like a 60/40 split where 60% was healthy and 40% was basically sweets and fried food. A for effort?
I also ate Blender Bombs in a bunch of different ways. Obviously, I put them in my smoothie but also used them in my acai bowls, as a topping for yogurt, and even by themselves so they were super versatile and easy to incorporate into my diet. I am happy to say that after 30 days of Blender Bombs I lost 6.4 lbs and I did not exercise once! If I did it was like a five-minute walk with my dog around the block. This just goes to show that weight loss is based so much more about what you put into your body rather than exercise.
Are Blender Bombs Worth the Price?
To be 100% honest when I first saw that a box of 10 Blender Bombs cost $25 I was on the fence about buying them. It seemed like a lot for just 10 little nutrition bombs. But then I broke the cost down to $2.50 per Blender Bomb, which you are using in a smoothie, as a meal replacement, so the cost really isn’t that high.
Plus a smoothie at Smoothie King is easily over $5 and is nowhere near as nutritious as one you can make at home with a Blender Bomb. It’s also crazy to think that can we spend $4 on a coffee from Starbucks and not think twice about it, yet hesitant to spend $2.50 on something that is actually healthy for you and keeps you full. In my opinion, if you are using them as a smoothie enhancer and meal replacement they are 100% worth the cost.
If you are using them in a smoothie, as a meal replacement, you can expect to be full like you would eating a regular meal. As a snack a Blender Bomb would keep me satisfied for 2-3 hours. Sometimes I would eat them with an apple or Epic Bar/Country Archer meat stick depending on how hungry I was.

Would I Purchase Blender Bombs Again
Yes, yes, and yes! I definitely plan on buying Blender Bombs again and continuing to incorporate them into my regular diet because I already eat acai bowls and drink smoothies regularly. I love how easy it is to incorporate them into your diet, like it does not feel like I am on a diet or trying to lose weight. Plus it doesn’t hurt that I am eating more wholesome and healthy foods like fruits, veggies, and other superfoods.

Any Advice on Trying Blender Bombs?
Definitely have a good blender. I currently have a personal NINJA blender (also a NINJA air fryer that is life changing) that I love but I definitely have my eye on a Vitamix. You could use a traditional blender if that is all you have but I think the easier it is for you to make smoothies, the more likely you are to incorporate Blender Bombs into your diet and make a lifestyle change.
Don’t be afraid to try new ingredients in your smoothie! Since my Blender Bomb challenge, I have put cauliflower in every single smoothie that I’ve made. You honestly cannot taste the difference, it’s crazy. At first I was very hesitant to try it so I started with a small amount but once I realized I couldn’t taste it, I never looked back! Now I throw it in there by the cup fulls!
Where can I Find Blender Bombs?
You can find the best selection of Blender Bombs, and all the other amazing products they offer, on their website. Plus, you can autoship them straight to your door every month! They also have a Store Locator option on their website that shows you different brick and mortar stores you can purchase them at. You can now find them in Sprouts and Whole Foods but the selection varies AND you can purchase them from Amazon!
If you have any questions about Blender Bombs or have given them a try and are as obsessed with them as I am, share in the comments! If you haven’t tried Blender Bombs and are now interested, give them a try! Trust me, you won’t regret it!

October 2021 Update
I wanted to give you all an update on my Blender Bomb journey. I wrote this post over a year ago and I still stand by everything I said. Since first trying Blender Bombs I have completed 2 more smoothie challenges and eat Blender Bombs on an almost daily basis. They have made such a positive difference in my eating habits and I will probably continue to eat them for the rest of my life!
I have tried a few of their other products and wanted to share my thoughts on them…
Bomb Butter
I typically make my smoothies with almond milk but decided to give the Bomb Butter a try and swap it for my almond milk. If I am being honest, I was not a fan of the taste. It had a stronger nuttier flavor than my typical smoothie and it wasn’t as creamy. I haven’t purchased this again and prefer to use almond milk.
Bomb Drizzle
Bomb Drizzle is the shit and literally tastes good on everything! Sometimes if my smoothies are not very sweet I typically add honey but ever since I tried the Bomb Drizzle, I have used that as a sweetener. It comes in several flavors and is perfect to put on top of snacks, smoothie bowls, and even ice cream. 10/10 would recommend!
Bomb Bars
I snagged the Bomb Bars during a promotion where if you spent above a certain amount, you got a free box of Bomb Bars. I had been wanting to try them so I was super excited to get a variety pack to try. Unfortunately, I was not a huge fan of them. In my opinion, there is a strong flaxseed flavor that I felt was overpowering to the other flavors. Some flavors are better than others and if I was at the store and needed a quick snack I might buy one but there are other bars I like better as snack bars (specifically That’s It Bars and Larabars).
Granola So Bomb
I am a HUGE granola fanatic and was super excited to try their granola, mainly to put it on my smoothie bowls. I loved it! Their granola is grain-free and includes tons of nuts and seeds so you are getting extra protein than most granolas.
October 2023 Update
More than three years later and I am happy to share that I still eat Blender Bombs several times a week and have a monthly subscription for them. My favorite flavor is the Irish Sea Moss and my favorite way to eat them is in a smoothie bowl with berries, cauliflower, spinach, chia seeds, and almond milk with some granola on top. If you are looking to make healthier choices, I 10000% encourage you to give them a try, they just might change your life the same way they have changed mine!
June 2025 Update
I wanted to give you all another update on my Blender Bomb/smoothie journey! I wrote this blog post about my experience with Blender Bombs FIVE YEARS ago and to this day I still have a Blender Bomb subscription and eat them several times a week. I will say I fell a little off the wagon during the winter since it was too cold for me to make smoothies but with summer in full swing I am back to eating them regularly. I love them so much, I actually invested in the company during their crowdfunding campaign on StartEngine.
I still strongly believe if you are trying to create healthier eating habits, get more fiber and wholesome nutrients into your diet, you have to give them a try. Irish sea moss is still my favorite and I usually eat them as smoothie bowls topped with chia seeds and Purely Elizabeth granola. They came out with a plant protein last year but I haven’t tried it yet. TBH I’m not a huge protein shake person but I have been adding it to my greek yogurt and OMG SOOOO GOOD!! I haven’t found a protein I love but I have been dying to try the Clean Simple Eats one.

September 2025 Update
Back in 2020, I wrote my very first Blender Bombs review, and it quickly became one of the most-read posts on my site. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one wondering: Do Blender Bombs really work, or are they just another health fad?
I wanted to give yet another Blender Bomb update since I still get messages asking if Blender Bombs are worth it. So here we are, my latest Blender Bomb review 2025, with all the pros, cons, and yes, my 20% Blender Bomb coupon code still works!
What Are Blender Bombs?
If you’re new here, Blender Bombs are superfood balls you toss into your smoothie to instantly upgrade it. Each one is packed with nuts, seeds, dates, and other nutrient-dense ingredients that add:
- Healthy fats
- Plant-based protein
- Fiber
- Omega-3s & antioxidants
They are basically the lazy girlâs hack for making your smoothie taste like a real meal instead of a smoothie that’s just filled with fruits and ice.
Do Blender Bombs Work?
Yes – Blender Bombs work.
When I use them, my smoothies actually keep me full for much longer rather than me eating again like two hours later. They also make smoothies taste creamier and give them some staying power without having to measure out chia, flax, hemp, and whatever else.
If you’ve been searching âDo Blender Bombs work?â – this is your answer: they do, as long as your goal is a more filling, balanced smoothie.
Blender Bombs Pros and Cons
What I like:
- They are super convenient, I don’t have to buy a bunch of separate ingredients, I can just toss one in my smoothie
- Whole-food ingredients (no mystery powders and nothing artificial)
- Makes smoothies feel like an actual meal vs a snack
What I don’t love:
- The price, they are on the more expensive side but if you’re using it as a meal replacement smoothie, they are well worth it
- When you first start using them you have to get used to the smoothie consistency
Are Blender Bombs Worth It in 2025?
Blender Bombs aren’t cheap, but for me they’re worth it. If you love the convenience of not having to buy a bunch of separate ingredients and want to make healthier choices (like eating more fruits and vegetables) then yes, they’re worth it.
So if you’re wondering âAre Blender Bombs worth it in 2025?â â I’d say yes, especially if convenience and incorporating wholesome and natural ingredients into your diet are important to you.
How to Use Blender Bombs
- Blend one into your smoothie (what I do 90% of the time)
- Crumble on top of yogurt or oatmeal
- Eat straight out of the bag when you’re starving and canât be bothered

Final Thoughts: My 2025 Blender Bombs Review
Five years later, I still recommend Blender Bombs. They’re not going to change your life overnight, but they make it a lot easier to eat healthy without the fuss. If you value convenience and good ingredients, they’re worth a try.
Blender Bombs FAQ (2025 Edition)
Do Blender Bombs help with weight loss?
Not directly, but they keep you full longer, which can help you snack and eat less, which is why I think I lost weight when I did the smoothie challenge. Plus, it encourages you to eat more fruits and veggies which are good for you and full of fiber.
Do Blender Bombs taste good?
Yes, they taste like nutty energy bites and I honestly don’t notice a strong difference in the flavor of my smoothie when I add them. They do create a thicker consistency than your average smoothie but I’m so used to them at this point that smoothies without them taste weird to me.
Are Blender Bombs gluten free?
Yep, they’re gluten-free.
How much do Blender Bombs cost in 2025?
Around $2-$3 each, depending on whether you subscribe, use a copon code (like mine: BLAZERSANDBLUEJEANS) or buy them from a retailer like Whole Foods, Sprouts, or Harris Teeter.
Is there a Blender Bombs coupon code in 2025?
Yes! Use BLAZERSANDBLUEJEANS for 20% off.

Great review! I ordered 4 boxes and starting the challenge today!!
Tiffany
So happy to hear that!! I would love to hear what you think of them when you start making your smoothies. The consistency might take a little while to get used to but now I cant have a smoothie without one.
robin
Did you use their Bomb Butter too? If so, how is that/worth it? Thanks!
Tiffany
I have not tried the bomb butter yet but will definitely be ordering it next time I order more Blender Bombs. In all honestly, im on the fence about it. Im already an almond milk drinker and the bomb butter replaces the need for almond milk but its way more expensive than almond milk. Ill for sure be trying it but don’t know if its worth the cost.

Will you share some of your favorite smoothie recipes? I’m a smoothie virgin but I need to give my body some love after all the sweets of the holidays.
Tiffany
Hi Becky! You’re definitely not alone, I’m currently on a juice cleanse after all of the holiday treats I had! Blender Bombs actually has a recipe section on their website (https://blenderbombs.com/blogs/recipes) and Delish has a great breakdown about making a good smoothie (https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/a24892347/how-to-make-a-smoothie/) so I would definitely recommend checking those out as a starting point. If you’re on Instagram @girlsonfiber has several recipes on their highlights. I have been making smoothies for years and don’t really have recipes that I follow….I typically make basic smoothies like peanut butter/banana, strawberry/banana, mixed berry and usually add spinach into my smoothies. Start with a small amount and I guarantee you won’t be able to taste it. I would also say it’s a learn as you go process, some people like protein and yogurt in their smoothies and I hate both those things in my smoothies. Hope that helps 🙂
Becky
Thank you so much for your suggestions. I had my first BB smoothie yesterday and I was surprised by how much I liked it. The Blender Bombs and Bomb Butter do not smell good to me, so I was really worried. But it all tasted great once blended together.
Tiffany
So happy to hear that! I ordered the bomb butter but haven’t tried it yet. If youre on instagram, they are doing a Smoothie Challenge in February and if you have 24 (i think) smoothies in the month you’ll get a $20 giftcard. Ill be participating and it really helps keep me accountable with eating better.
Becky
I will go check that out. I’m all for a good reward system. ;-D
